How do we choose between two equally worthy and nobel treasures?

Treasure - this word can have several meanings depending on the beholder. It can refer to amassing an amount of wealth, a precious trinket, or an ambition we seek. Sustainability has of late become such an ambition, one we collectively seem to treasure. But there’s a dichotomy seldom spoken off in sustainability and in order to achieve one sustainable goal we might have to forgo another. How do we choose between two equally worthy and nobel treasures? Is it just in the eye of the beholder?
