About the speaker

Nell is a Chinese-American illustrator specializing in the big and small: public art and comics. She is known for her cute characters, bright colors, and bold, fun lines. Her clients and collaborations include Pao Arts Center, the City of Boston, My Little Pony, Zone 3, the Town of Brookline, and more. She grew up in Massachusetts's small towns, Stow and Holliston. The farm animals she was surrounded by were a constant source of comfort and inspiration in her art journey.

She graduated from Lesley University with an MA in Art Education and MassArt, a BFA in Illustration, and a minor in Creative Writing. She has over 6 years of experience teaching art in museums and art centers. Through her art and teaching, she hopes to inspire people of any age or artistic background that they can take up space and create too. When at home, Nell enjoys spending time with loved ones and her guinea pigs.
