About Prerit :
Prerit is an engineer-turned-social development professional. After working in corporate sector for four years, he decided to go for his true calling, which is to solve complex social problems existing in his home-city of Gurugram.
He is the co-founder and CEO of Agrasar (www.agrasar.org) - a non-profit organization working in the field of Education and Employability in Gurugram since 2011. Under the Education Program, Agrasar teaches children who do not go to schools due to various reasons, help them reach age-appropriate leaning levels and then mainstream them in formal schools. More than 500 children from the slums of Gurugram are impacted every year through 04 centres. Under the Employability Program, Agrasar skills the disadvantaged youth in the age group of 18 to 35 and supports them with placements in reputed companies. Till date, Agrasar has trained and placed 4000 disadvantaged youth in more than 100 national and multi-national companies through 06 centres.
Prerit also runs a social enterprise called Societymaker (www.societymaker.org) - an enterprise for home-based livelihood generation for disadvantaged women who can not move out of home for work due to various reasons. .
Prerit has done his masters in Rural Management from prestigious Institute of Rural Management Anand (IRMA) and had been chosen as the Acumen Fellow in the year 2014.
