Nathalie Pambrun – Being a Midwife to Creativity
This month’s speaker for our CreativeMornings event is Nathalie Pambrun – a Franco-Manitoban Métis midwife. . With 17 years of experience, they aim to bridge environmental and reproductive justice movements at the community level. Committed to midwifery care that is accessible, equitable, and culturally safe, Nathalie works primarily in Winnipeg with Indigenous teens and newcomers to Canada. . They are the past-President of the Canadian Association of Midwives (2018 - 2020) and have served a two-year term as the organization’s co-Chair between 2011-2012. Currently, they are the National Aboriginal Council of Midwives’ (NACM) Advocacy and Policy Advisor and a board member of Grand Challenges Canada. Oxygen Yoga & Fitness (@oxygenyogaandfitness) is a successful Canadian studio franchise that is aimed at empowering people to change their lives through self-love and fitness. Aman & Hardeep, the wonderful owners of @oxygenlindenridge in Winnipeg reached out to us with a problem: Everyone that came in and experienced their classes fell in love with their studio & team, but everyone on the outside held a perception of them that was not in line with who they really are. Solution: Through collaborative planning sessions we were able to help define what the Winnipeg Oxygen Yoga & Fitness experience was based on their unique personalities, their amazing team & welcoming atmosphere. Through visual micro-content we were able to flesh out not only what they offered, but ‘how’ they provided their service, their values and passion.
