Mohammad Nasir Moradi is a cybersecurity professional and educator whose journey from Kabul, Afghanistan to Indiana has been defined by resilience and the support of community. After being displaced in 2021, he rebuilt his life in Bloomington, earning a Master of Science in Secure Computing at Indiana University with a 4.0 GPA, where he was honored as Graduate Commencement Speaker and recognized for both academic excellence and leadership. At IU, Nasir contributed to national cybersecurity initiatives, supported critical infrastructure protection, and taught graduate-level courses in cybersecurity. He now serves as an Information Security Engineer at Indiana University, continuing to combine technical expertise with mentorship and service. His story reflects the transformative power of education, opportunity, and community in shaping new beginnings.
