Michael C. Davis brings a unique perspective on the future of human connection in an age increasingly defined by AI. As someone who has spent over 20 years at the intersection of technology and human behavior—and is now a Ph.D. candidate in cyberpsychology—Michael’s focus is on how AI companions are reshaping our ideas of intimacy and connection. Drawing from his own year-long experience using an AI love companion app, he will explore how the lines between human and machine are blurring in unexpected ways. At the Cybersecurity and Cyberpsychology Research Center in Santa Fe, where he serves as Executive Director, Michael studies the psychological and social impacts of AI on our relationships and well-being. His forthcoming book, “Ctrl+Alt+Happiness,” delves deep into this territory.
