About the speaker

I am a self-taught artist, born in a small French town up North in the province of Quebec. I’ve lived in Columbia for 21 years now and am an active part of the local art community, sharing my work with businesses, charities and collectors in the US, Canada and Germany.

I started sharing my work professionally here, in Columbia in 2009. The first painting was purchased by the Mizzou Alumni Association. Since then, I’ve had the chance to extend my work to various businesses and individuals.

A technique I regularly use to reach the level of details I seek is layering. Which is the application of different semi-transparent colors to enhance the light, the darker hues as well as contributing to a more intense overall perspective of the subject.

My work is known mainly for its realism and, moreso in the past few years, for my oil paintings done on steel panels.

I have been involved in the community as an artist and Board member of Tigers On The Prowl for 7 years now. I engage in the planning process of events, participate as a contributing artist and help select the artist and craftsmen peers who join our efforts in producing art pieces for our auctions organized to support local charities.

I also am an active health and environmental advocate and co-founder of COMO Safe
Water Coalition.

I must add, last but not least, that I am a very proud mother of 2 beautiful, talented, creative, strong daughters who are embracing and excelling at their passions.
