Who are we? Who are we told to be? Reimagine spirituality and “bananify” it.

When you close your eyes and think of something you saw / experienced that you’d describe as spiritual… what do you see? Is it a woman dressed as a banana playing a ukulele? For Maddie Hicks playing a baby banana in a live art piece for Music City Puppet Slam, it was! In her talk, she references growing up in the Bible Belt and—even after deconstructing her beliefs—holding key pieces from her experience to currently reframe spirituality (i.e., “bananify-ing” our lives).
