Additional details

March’s global theme is Local and our speaker is Vick Pattison. Vick is a Brisbane based painter with more than three decades behind the brush.

Originally from New Zealand, her journey has been shaped by movement across countries, industries, substrates and materials, building a career grounded in hands-on craft and real world experience.

From traditional signwriting and large scale murals to film work and commissioned paintings, Vick has earned a reputation for craftsmanship in an increasingly digital world. Her work is known for its honesty, precision, passion and refusal to take shortcuts.

Today, taking anchor in Brisbane, Vick continues to paint, evolve and take on new challenges, driven by the same thing that started it all - a commitment to craft and a belief that good work should mean something.

Vick will speak about staying true to craft in a digital world, building a life through making and what ‘Local’ really means after a life in motion.
