To let others know that we can overcome anything, Liza shares her story of survival. Having chosen a kind of life in the past does not mean people can’t or won’t change. With some faith, love from others, and by being given a chance, we can get through anything that happens throughout our journey in life.
About the speaker
Liza Pereira works for Evergreen Health as a Retention Support Assistant, leveraging her background in addiction to help others move forward. In the past she has spoken for AIDS Walk Buffalo, World AIDS Day in Albany, NY, and for Women of Purpose. Liza currently is a spokesmodel for the "HIV Stops With Me" campaign. She lives in Niagara Falls, NY and has four children and seven grandchildren.
