About the speaker
I’m Lisa, also known as LDH, and you can think of me as your creative and quirky sister, auntie, or bff. My goal is to bring beauty to others while living my core values of creating genuine connection, sharing my creativity, bolstering others confidence, and achieving success through collaboration. I see beauty everywhere I go, especially when I meet amazing people who connect with my work.
We live in a throwaway society, where lifestyle and fashion trends are driven in large part by reality television celebrities. Keeping up with the Kardashians has replaced the old adage of keeping up with the Joneses. Our landfills are overflowing with impulse purchases that only provide a moment of joy.
I am the opposite of one-size-fits-all anything. My products and services are designed to highlight the internal and external satisfaction of knowing something that was created to compliment the energy and uniqueness of the individual(s) who wear my accessories, own my art, and trust me to design their celebration.
My aesthetic is a nod to hypersentimentalism, a sensibility depicting intimate emotional scenes, with a focus on authenticity and meaningful connections. As part of this aesthetic, I strive to use as many reclaimed items as possible, with everything from sentimental items given to me by clients to include in a project, to items from nature, and everything in between. I am repurposing with a purpose. I tell my clients that the items they are purchasing have a history and they are continuing that legacy with a new life.
