Amy Chan

Brand Strategist & Web Designer at Those Moments Design Co.

Las Vegas, NV, USA

Amy Chan is a brand strategist and designer who spent years in hospitality, where she learned that behind-the-scenes moments are often the most powerful. She now helps purpose-driven founders build brands rooted in honesty and connection. When she’s not working, she’s usually out in nature or exploring somewhere new—travel and the outdoors are her biggest creative reset.

About this FieldTrip

Most of us wait until the work is “done” to share it — but the process is often the most interesting part. This FieldTrip walks through simple, beginner-friendly approaches to documenting your work for social, whether you’re shooting a project, a product, or just a moment in your day.

We’ll talk about how to shoot on your phone without interrupting your flow, what makes behind-the-scenes content compelling, and how tools like Adobe Express and Firefly can help you polish and share what you’ve captured.

The goal isn’t to turn you into a content creator overnight. It’s to help you feel a little more confident picking up your phone and sharing the work behind your work.

Level Up badge ⭐️ This FieldTrip is part of our Level Up Series with Adobe!

This FieldTrip is a part of Level Up, a series of FieldTrips and resources designed to help you grow, gain confidence, and take meaningful next steps in your creative career. This series is made possible by CreativeMornings’ global partnership with Adobe. Learn more about the program and upcoming FieldTrips and check out more ways to Level Up.

Agenda

  • ✔ Welcome & Reframe: We'll kick things off with a quick conversation about why your process is worth sharing — and why waiting until the work is "finished" is actually holding you back. Expect a mindset shift before we get into the how.

  • ✔ The Phone-First Approach: We'll walk through simple, practical techniques for capturing your work on your phone — lighting, angles, timing, and how to document without breaking your creative flow. No fancy gear required.

  • ✔ What Makes BTS Content Compelling: We'll look at real examples of behind-the-scenes content that works and break down why — so you can start seeing your own process through a storytelling lens.

  • ✔ Live Walkthrough with Adobe Express + Firefly: We'll do a hands-on demo showing how to take raw, unpolished captures and use Adobe Express and Firefly to refine, reframe, and ready them for sharing.

  • ✔ Q&A + Open Share: We'll close with questions and an open share — bring what you made, what confused you, or what surprised you.

What to know or bring

  • Amy will be doing a live walkthrough using Adobe Express and Firefly to create visuals. You can follow along on your own account if you like, but do not have to!

How to make the most of FieldTrips

The FieldTrips experience is defined not only by what the host has to share, but also by how we show up individually and collectively. The way we show up impacts our capacity to be moved, inspired, and activated.

Show up fully

Get ready to be immersed! Engage with smiles, nods, waves, emojis. Share in the chat. Get cozy. Turn off notifications. Sip your favorite beverage.

Stay curious

Wear your beginner’s hat. Go with the flow. Welcome the stumbles and fumbles. Congratulate yourself for trying. Keep going!

Celebrate your host

Our hosts are members of the CreativeMornings community—just like you! Everyone comes to this with different backgrounds—a lot of our hosts have never done anything like this before! And we love that! Cheer them on when something goes awry and when it goes perfectly.

Support each other

We’re all figuring things out in real time. Celebrate, rather than critique emerging ideas. Cheer each other on as you try new things.  Try “Yes! And…” in conversation.

Not vibing?

It’s 100% okay when a FieldTrip does not resonate with you. Pop out quietly and try another experience later. Fill out the survey with your feedback (no dms to host or chat commentary, please.)
