About the speaker

Latife Tekin was born in 1957 in Kayseri. She moved to İstanbul with her family when she was 9 years old. Her first book Sevgili Arsız Ölüm was published in 1983. Then, Berci Kristin Çöp Masalları (1984), Gece Dersleri (1986), Buzdan Kılıçlar 1989, Aşk İşaretleri (1995), Ormanda Ölüm Yokmuş (2001), Unutma Bahçesi (2004), Muniar (2006) and Unutma Bahçesi (2004) which she won Sedat Simavi awards and Rüyalar ve Uyanışlar Defteri (2009) was published. Her novels which are Turkish magical heritage for tomorrow translated to English, French, Italian, Japanese, Dutch and Persian language and many different languages.
