Is creative freedom good?

Husband and wife tag-team, Allen and Lindsey Laseter are the minds behind Lasso Studio – a creative studio specializing in moving brands. Together, they take us through their start as individual freelancers to the ultimate branding opportunity via an email in 2020 that made them ask the question: “What if we did this together?” While it’s easy for creatives to say they crave creative freedom, Lasso Studio admits that once you get it, you feel a little untethered and unsure. They describe how designing for the event constraints of 2020 (virtual vs. in-person) created a groove, and within that groove came a micro-leveled, anchored form of creative freedom.
