Fashion designer Kris Galmarini charges us to fight for kids’ creativity.
A mother of two, Kris struggled to find herself and her calling after becoming a mom, a role that required her to quit her job as a restaurant manager to become a personal assistant. Looking to rediscover her passion, Kris and her husband, an illustrator, would use the sacred time after they put the kids to sleep to create, staying up late into the night collaborating on projects.
It was during a screenprinting workshop that her interest was piqued, causing Kris and her husband to turn their master bedroom into a screenprinting studio where they began their business. Kris Galmarini talks about the ups and downs on her quest to create a children’s clothing brand that “fights for creativity.”
