Karen Hewitt inspires us to find the spaciousness to engage in creative reverie.

Community builder and artist Karen Hewitt challenges us to consider where in our life we can find the spaciousness to dream, and how we’re being constricted by the expectations of the world. As a member of the House of Olokun— A safe space for queer and trans African American spirituality— Karen discovered the space to create, but there are many communities that aren’t designed with them in mind. Through exploring this dichotomy, Karen asks us all to consider the role of privilege in dreaming, but also the ways each of us can ideate, execute, and implement dreams in the right conditions.
