About the speaker

Kali Wasenko is the first-ever Director of Advancement and Operations at STABLE, a new nonprofit that provides affordable studio space and programming for visual artists, who brings solutions for accessibility to the District’s contemporary art world. Before joining STABLE, Kali worked at the DC Commission on the Arts and Humanities and the DC Office of Disability Rights. She is also a Mayoral-appointed member of the DC Developmental Disabilities Council and co-Dean of Awesome Foundation DC chapter, a self-funded micro-grant group that brings more awesome to Washington, DC $1,000 at a time. Kali enjoys reading, on-going attempts at becoming a runner, and traveling with her husband, the US Small Business Association’s self-proclaimed nerd-in-resident. She is also the proud youngest sister of Ryan Wasenko, an artist with Down Syndrome.
