About the speaker

Jon Jon Wesolowski is an armchair urbanist, a reluctant TikToker, and a pedestrian safety advocate. He's an introvert who can talk your ear off but also finds happiness when plans get canceled.

Having grown up in East Tennessee, he returned home to Chattanooga during the pandemic in 2020. Known as "The Happy Urbanist" online, he has amassed a following of 352,000 across three content channels, aiming to educate and excite people about the built environment.

When he's not making videos, you'll find him wandering through parks or competing with his wife, Megan, and their two kids, Finley and Eleanor, in a round of Mario Kart
