Johnny Hackett Jr is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer at The Black Dollar Corp.
From Greenville, South Carolina - migrating to Raleigh, North Carolina in 1998. Johnny is a Broughton High School graduate and attended North Carolina A&T State University. Enjoyed great career as a Six Sigma Black Belt at Fortune 500 Companies such as Xerox, IBM, BlueCross BlueShield of NC, and the amazing B-Corp Unity Web Agency. An active member of the Raleigh Community, Johnny leads a yearly Rodney Williams MLK Breakfast for his Masonic Fraternity Widow’s Son Lodge #4, serves on the Board of Directors for Raleigh’s pay-what-you-can restaurant A Place At The Table, Downtown Raleigh Alliance, and Dogwood State Bank’s Advisory Board. Johnny speaks on social and technology agendas whenever possible, such as TedX Raleigh’s Carpe Diem, RTP180’s Agile Series, and was the keynote speaker at Innovate Raleigh Summit’s 10-Year Anniversary 2021. Recently named one of Triangle Business Journal’s 2021 40 Under 40 Award Recipients and Triangle Tribune’s 2021 Newsmaker of the Year.
Having entered the world of entrepreneurship in 2008, Johnny founded The Black Dollar Corp in 2019 - which consists of #BlackDollarNC, a Black-Owned Business Directory for the state of North Carolina; Black Friday Market, a retail department store that allows small business owners to sell their products commission-free; and The Factory, North Carolina’s first Co-Manufacturing facility that allows small business owners to enjoy office space, traditional coworking, and also use shared equipment to make and produce products in the heart of Downtown Raleigh.
