About the speaker
Ullas Hydoor is a Bangalore based architect who completed his education from the University of Bangalore. During the course of his education, he dabbled into several forms of arts and found a natural affinity towards artistic endeavors. Several such pursuits led him to street art, graffiti and public art installations. After copious amounts of time fooling around in the new medium, he found the perfect platform to express his views on life, society and its short comings. His art is highly reflective of the prevailing socio-cultural conflicts of today. He is fiercely curious about life and everything around him. His street art and graffiti works can be seen transforming the otherwise just another street wall of Bangalore to beautiful canvases narrating the stories of the ever changing times. His art installations continue to explore the imagination of the human mind through the elements of nature in space, building bridges to connect people and enable them to explore their own untouched mind. He continuously tries to add artistic value to physical realm around him. He regularly conducts workshops and seminars at various schools and corporate venues on Street art and its useful implications on Society.
He has been part of Kochi-Biennale art festival(Cochin), Neighbourhood art festival(Bangalore), St.Art Mumbai(Mumbai),Surf Festival(Chennai) Blooming Sikkim(Gangtok)
He has also built several art installations for Raagasthan(Jaisalmer) , MAD festival(Ooty),Sunburn(Goa) , Construkt Festival(Bangalore),KitschMandi(Bangalore) and UFO(shantinagar with Vivek Chokalingam) Klatsch(Bangalore)
