Ink – Meatshop Tattoo

March 27, 8:00am - 9:30am CET. Hosted at Nationalmuseet

part of a series on Ink

About the speaker

We have teamed up with two craftsmen of the very finest breed to be enlightened by their intimate relationship to ink. These gentlemen are creative to the bone – and we are therefore very proud to present Uffe Berenth and Peter Madsen of world-famous tattoo-studio, Meatshop Tattoo.

Uffe is inspired by the Nordic and shamanistic tattoo traditions of Scandinavia and aspire to contribute to the revival of these concepts. Peter is creative to the core, expressed in multiple mediums throughout his life, but none so rewarding as tattooing: Peter works intuitively and most efficiently with the immediate feedback given as he’s freehanding his designs directly onto the client’s skin.

We are happy to have Uffe and Peter speaking for the #Ink-event!

Additional details

The theme for March’s CreativeMornings is #Ink. And we have teamed up with two craftsmen of the very finest breed to be enlightened by their intimate relationship to ink. These gentlemen are creative to the bone – and we are therefore very proud to present Uffe Berenth and Peter Madsen of world-famous tattoo-studio, Meatshop Tattoo.

Uffe and Peter represent an extremely unique approach to the art of tattooing. All of their work is completely custom-designed and each tattoo is built on a powerful narrative and story – tailor fit to the owner of the tattoo. The tattoos are based on an entirely new language of symbols, a language built from the ground up by Uffe and Peter – and based on symbols from the Viking-age, iron-age, bronze-age and even earlier ornaments. Essentially, this results in very powerful and exclusive tattoos that become a part of the person and a symbol of his past, present and future.

The work of Uffe and Peter is known across the globe and clients gladly fly in from all over the world. We can’t wait to show you why! The event will be hosted at Nationalmuseet, home of a rare collection of runic stones and artefacts from the Scandinavian history – and therefore a perfect fit for the theme and Meatshop Tattoo!
