About the speaker

In 2010, Hugh Koh decided that it was time to pursue his interest to start his own clothing line. Having started out as a collection of T-shirts in eight different design, Pestle & Mortar is now a multifaceted lifestyle brand.

Four years into the business, the brand spearheaded a new multi-label retail and e-commerce store named Major Drop. Aside from that, Koh is also heavily involved in other ventures. One notable project is the League of Captains – a cafe that doubles as a retail boutique located in the heart of Kuala Lumpur. This year, Koh is also looking to open the first Pestle & Mortar Clothing retail store in Penang.

In addition to partaking in charitable events, Koh is an avid traveller and an adventure seeker who enjoys the outdoors.
