Through Ninja Sketch’s Eyes: A Playful Reflection of Personality

Kiko Hamada, AKA Ninja Sketch, is a seasoned caricature artist with 14 years of experience. She shared her insights on the theme of “reflection” in art. For Kiko, caricature is more than just creating a likeness of someone—it’s about capturing a humorous, exaggerated version that brings out the subject’s personality and unique traits. Her work is her personal interpretation of who they are, a reflection of their essence through her artistic lens. Kiko explained that this process of observation and interpretation has been even more valuable to her artistic development than her formal training in art college. Each caricature is not just a drawing but a playful and thoughtful reflection of individuality, allowing her to celebrate the diversity and uniqueness of people in a way that resonates with both humor and heart. Through her work, Kiko highlights the power of reflection in art as a means of connection and storytelling.
