Challenge the Status Quo

Attorney Hannah Ibañez returns to our stage to explore the topics of race, justice, and the police. She invites us to dive into the insecurities and emotions that surface in the face of ideas and actions that challenge the status quo so that we may grow into stronger advocates for change.

About the speaker

Hannah Ibañez is a social justice trial attorney currently living and working in LA. After spending several years as a public defender in some of Florida’s harshest criminal justice systems, including Pinellas County, she moved to work with a non-profit law firm in LA’s skid row district focused on eliminating houselessness by any means necessary. Last year she spoke to our community about justice, and she’s returning to deepen that conversation and help us put action behind our words of solidarity for the Black community and other marginalized populations. Hannah would like you to know that she’s a mixed race queer millennial, her parents (whom she loves!) are retired Miami Dade cops, and Black lives matter.
