What are Clubs?
CreativeMorning Clubs are community-led, hyper-local, intimate gatherings around something you love.
Clubs can be recurring or drop-in and can range from hobbies and hang-outs, to skill-building and anything in between.
Freelancers Union Coffee & Coworking Club
• – • Brooklyn, 11232
About this Club
We want freelance creatives to be able to meet and grow their personal networks.
We hope people will show up with openness and with the goal to meet new friends and collaborators. Attendees will have an opportunity to introduce themselves to everyone. For Freelance Isn’t Free month, we will be talking about the law and all things non-payment! We will also be joined with our Legal Clinic Attorney, John Rudikoff. He will be here to answer your questions about the law and things with non-payment. Come with questions and or your own tips for other freelancers!
✨WHAT TO EXPECT
✔️ It will generally be free-flowing.✔️ We will provide coffee, tea and lite bites in the morning for folks to mingle the first hour of the day and cowork together.
✔️ Get some knowledge on the Freelance Isn’t Free Act and learn through other member experiences.
🎒WHAT TO KNOW OR BRING
✔️ Bring some business cards, bring your computers for coworking after.🍿 BYO SNACKS
We keep Clubs as free as possible to make sure anyone can attend. YAY! And… as a result, club hosts are carrying a lot of the financial weight of something like SNACKS. We know that snacks make any gathering so much fun… so we’re trying something new.👋 If you’re a snack fan, and you’d like to contribute, please bring a snack to share with your fellow Club goers. Nothing fancy. Just something that delights you. That’s it. See you there!
⏰ CLUB START TIME
Doors open at 8:45AM. We offer a 15-minute “Window of Arrival” time where you can get settled, share snacks, sign in, and chat with one another.👉 For example…If your Club start time is 1:00pm Expect to get things going around 1:15pm.
👉 We offer this flex window because we know folks are coming from many different places around town. With that said, please try your best to arrive before 15 minutes past the start time as the activities will be getting started then!
