February 28, 8:30am - 10:00am EST. Hosted at Enriched Bread Artists Studios
About the speaker
This month, 150+ cities will get weird. Rather than flinching at the unfamiliar, this is a time to embrace the strange, the new, and to explore our boundaries.
With that being said, it only seemed right to do things a little differently. We’ll be welcoming not one speaker to the CM stage for August but a panel of them and having a open discussion on “what makes Ottawa weird”.
To help us push those boundaries, step outside of the box that is normality we welcome…
An Ottawa institution, Magpie Jewellery takes pride and care in selecting only the finest jewellery from designers across Canada and the world and in bringing them together in unique displays that entice and inspire. With 3 locations Rideau, Glebe and the home of our fantastic support local collaboration “Arts Nest” at the new Westboro location, Magpie Jewellery is the first stop for designer and alternative bridal jewellery in Ottawa. Magpie Jewellery’s support of CreativeMornings is just one of the ways in which they help foster a culture for creativity and art in Ottawa, we are thrilled to have Magpie Jewellery in the CreativeMornings community!
Enriched Bread Artists (EBA) is a multivalent collective of diverse Ottawa artists. The collective takes its name from the fact that the cooperatively run studio group is located in a former bread factory. Originally formed in 1992 by graduates of the University of Ottawa, the member artists have changed over time, in an ongoing artistic ferment. EBA is an art studio and an artistic laboratory.
Today EBA is the biggest artist studio co-op building in the Ottawa region. Artists in the collective show their work locally, nationally and internationally. For the Ottawa community, EBA artists present an annual studio open house every October.Since 2007, EBA has run two artist run galleries showing local and international artists.
Tickets are limited for this unique venue! Parking is plentiful and free.
