Dr Mandana Seyfeddinipur

Hosted at The Ministry

part of a series on Wonder

About the speaker

With London being a wonderfully international city, we love that our community comes from all over the world, with countless mother tongues. This month’s speaker, Dr. Mandana Seyfeddinipur is a linguist who studied at Free University of Berlin, then did her PhD in Psycholinguistics at the Max Planck Institute for Psycholinguistics in the Netherlands and her Marie Curie postdoctoral work at Stanford University in the US.

Now at SOAS, she works at the Endangered Languages Documentation Programme which documents endangered languages across the globe. In 2014, she took over the Endangered Languages Archive where these recordings are stored and preserved.

Dr. Seyfeddinipur will share with us the wonder of language and words, illustrating the infinite beauty and wisdom at stake.
