Additional details

Dr. Abdulhakeem Jomah is also known as Hakeem Jomah and he is a self proclaimed “Everything-er”. Hakeem started as a practicing family physician for three years, afterwards specialising in sports medicine and nutritional physiology. He later embraced more creative avenues and became one of the first multi-award winning independent Saudi filmmakers for his work on the Kingdoms first feature length horror film, Madayen. Through his professional Hakeem has grown acutely aware of anxiety on the clinical stage and all of its subtle forms that encumber and very often ruin the lives of those that suffer from it as well as those around them , and how knowledge of it and a few simple but determined techniques can mean the difference between inner peace or life crippling chaos.

Talking points: Introduction: A culture of anxiety.

Knowing the abyss: defining anxiety in all its insidious lesser known forms to better learn how to cope with it or someone dealing with it.

Fighting the abyss: how to make the best of a bad situation and guiding yourself or others through a panic attack.

Outro: the world isn’t always a happy place and that’s ok (accepting anxiety is the first step to making it easier).
