About the speaker
Born and raised here in St. Petersburg, FL, Dominic has loved escaping into stories and storytelling since he was young. He saw the many lives that could be lived in the open pages of a book, and this has led him to take on many roles in many spaces around St. Petersburg. You can find him selling your next favorite book at Book + Bottle, shimmying on dance floors as he teaches Lindy Hop to local beginners at Green Bench Brewery, demonstrating how to elbow someone's face into oblivion at his dojo at St. Pete Fight Team, and discussing the need for our town’s grocery stores at local CRA meetings. We promise you he sleeps.

While holding true to our DIY roots and remaining a climbing gym owned and operated by climbers for climbers, VV maintains the ethos of respecting the culture from which we came — tied to nature and community (and a band of misfits). We stay true to the original love of and passion for climbing, and continue the tradition of growing the sport while making new steps to create, support, and promote accessibility and diversity to the sport.
TeBella Tea is a loose leaf tea retailer with four locations in the Tampa Bay and Sarasota areas: their original shop on Davis Islands, Oxford Exchange, Central Ave in St. Pete, and University Town Center in Sarasota. TeBella Tea offers a thoughtfully sourced loose tea collection with a heaping helping of tea education. They work directly with tea gardens and estates that use sustainable, fair-trade practices, and donate their used tea leaves to local community gardens for composting.

Programming starts at 9:00a, doors open at 8:30am, speakers on-stage by 9:30. Pre-registration is required (but free!). Lots of parking is available in front of the building. VV is located right on the Pinellas Trail, so feel free to walk, bike, carpool, or take public transportation as well.
