David Ansel is The Soup Peddler. In 2002, he began a food delivery service out of his house with a yellow bike and a $90 initial capitalization. From those humble beginnings, he now operates a commercial kitchen, three stores, and a delivery service with 2014 revenues above $2.5MM. Not exactly a Silicon Valley growth curve, but he’s proud nonetheless.
