“A lot of people don’t know this, but I’m famous.”

David Ansel reviews the humble path he took from ordinary Austinite to Austin legend, growing his soup business from the back of his bike to brick and mortar.

About the speaker

David Ansel is The Soup Peddler. In 2002, he began a food delivery service out of his house with a yellow bike and a $90 initial capitalization. From those humble beginnings, he now operates a commercial kitchen, three stores, and a delivery service with 2014 revenues above $2.5MM. Not exactly a Silicon Valley growth curve, but he’s proud nonetheless.
