About the speaker
Danielle Musto went for her first mountain bike ride ten years ago and instantly fell in love with the sport. She entered her first race a few months later and it changed her life completely. Racing a bike allowed her to travel to places unreachable by cars, and witness strength in both herself and others that she didn't think possible.
Fast forward to now, Danielle is an ultra endurance racer for Salsa Cycles and the Grand Rapids Bicycle Company. In 2011 she won the 24 hour Solo single speed 24 hour National Championships in Colorado Springs, CO and in 2014 she placed 4th in the 24 hour solo World Championships in Fort William, Scotland. Danielle's biggest accomplishment is starting the Grand Rapids Dirt Dawgs, a non-profit mountain bike organization teaching trail stewardship and healthy living through mountain biking.
Regardless of whether Danielle is competing in a 24-hour race or just pedaling to go coffee she still gets the same sense of freedom and adventure that she did on her first bike ride. This summer, Danielle is especially excited to start an outreach program to bring bike adventures to the inner city!
