Daniella Statia

About the speaker

Daniella is an art historian and new to St. Louis as she is the 2025-2027 Romare Bearden Graduate Museum fellow at the Saint Louis Art Museum. Daniella is passionate about uplifting underrepresented voices in the art world and focuses her work on cross-cultural exchange in art of the Americas.

Since arriving at SLAM, Daniella has worked across departments on projects such as co-organizing the Teen Arts Council, organized the annual panel “If It Wasn’t for the Women: the Art of Resistance and Change”, led art talks, and more.

Before coming to SLAM, Daniella interned at the Delaware Historical Society in the education department, helped curate the university of Delaware’s online collection, “Black Portrait Photography Collection”, and interned at the Beauregard-Keyes Historic House in New Orleans, Louisiana.

Come join us at SLAM for a creative morning! Every month, CreativeMornings gathers in 252 cities across 70 countries for free programming. Volunteer hosts and their teams organize local chapters that not only celebrate their city’s creative talent but also create an open space to connect with other big-hearted individuals. This month, CreativeMornings is featuring the creative talent of the Saint Louis Art Museum staff, including Daniella Statia, the Romare Bearden Graduate Museum Fellow. Enjoy light refreshments, and an inspirational 30-minute talk in the Education Center about this month’s theme: “Create.”

This event is free and open to the public. All are welcome to attend.

Because it takes place before the Museum opens, please enter through the entrance by the South Building, off Valley Drive. The Main Building, Parking Garage, and East Building entrances will not be accessible.

10–11 am, Art Making Stop by the Education Center for a drop-in art-making program.
