Michael Goessman and Summer Knoop

Michael is from Gallatin Gateway, Montana and grew up around great cooks and home gardeners. He has a passion for agriculture and fine dining, and learns best by doing. After dropping out of culinary school, Mike worked hard at getting to the source of the highest quality ingredients. Prior to moving to Michigan, he has cooked on the west coast, Rocky Mountains, east coast and in the south and really enjoys regional American Cuisine.

Summer is originally from Reed City, MI and when she finally left her tiny town as a teenager, she realized that dining out was amazing and knew she wanted to make a career out of it. After graduating from CMU she has lived in Chicago, Montana, New York City and Nashville all pursuing different positions within restaurants. Her goal for Café Mamo is to get guests to share a bottle of wine with dinner because she believes there is no better dining experience.
