About the speaker

Craig Oldham is a Designer, Educator, Writer, Publisher, Campaigner, Website-Up-Putter, and Yorkshireman. He’s founder of eponymous design practice Office Of Craig and publishing house Common Practices, and is creative director of Rough Trade Books.

Craig’s worked with a lot of people you will have heard of, and a lot of people you probably haven’t. He’s won some awards; written some books; had work featured on TV and in newspapers; shown in, and curated, exhibitions; and collected by international museums and galleries. He also sits on committees, global awards juries, educational panels (as well as sofas). His work has been described as “absolutely magnificent” by The Guardian; “Superb” by Jeremy Deller; and “Beautiful” by Grayson Perry.

He’s also named as one of the most influential designers working in the UK today. As well as drinking too much tea and swearing a lot.
