Clare talks on acceptance

About the speaker

Clare Press is a sustainable fashion activist and storyteller.

With a background in journalism, she was the first ever Vogue Sustainability Editor (for Vogue Australia, from 2018–20). Her popular podcast, Wardrobe Crisis, explores the impact of the fashion industry on people and the planet, and each week sees her interviewing creatives, academics, scientists and industry insiders from across the globe. Based on her book of the same name, it is now in its 8th series. In addition, Clare also produces and co-hosts the United Nations' Ethical Fashion Podcast with Simone Cipriani.

While grounded during COVID, Clare created an online course platform for sustainable fashion education, launched in partnership with the Australian Fashion Council. She has worked with brands including Zimmermann, Reformation and Zalando on sustainability education programs.

Clare is the author of Rise & Resist, How to Change the World (2018), exploring a new wave of activism. Her fourth book, Wear Next, Fashioning the Future will be published in October by Thames & Hudson. She is currently working on a documentary.
