About the speaker

Claire Mueller is the founder of ACID.FLWRS, a fine-art floral studio based in Sydney. She is also a Brand Strategist, Art Director and Start-Up Consultant.

ACID.FLWRS started as a studio experiment for a photo shoot in 2020 and evolved into a brand of fine-art flowers. Through a cross-disciplinary creative experiment fusing floral modification and graffiti art, fresh cut flowers are transformed with hypercolour patterns, bringing a fresh perspective to classical forms through a process based on a historical printmaking technique. Each stem is individually coloured with a bit of science and a bit of magic, becoming a piece of ephemeral art.

ACID.FLWRS has developed a cult following, appearing on the runway at Australian Fashion Week, at the launch of T - the New York Times Style Magazine Australia and featured in media including Urban List and Broadsheet.

As a strategist, Claire develops new brands and campaigns across
digital and physical product. Her career started in the fashion industry but she’s also worked across health, tech and lifestyle. From creating commercial and editorial content as a fashion stylist to developing digital strategies for tertiary education programs, running brand communications for sustainable natural textile Piñatex® to launching the social strategy for Airtasker’s first international market. Claire has a broad range of experience in contemporary communications across multiple channels and markets.

Claire calls herself a creative and a data nerd and keeps busy by switching between being a still-life stylist, brand and start-up consultant and art director.
Her aesthetic is influenced by design movements from Brutalism
to Memphis to Vaporwave. Claire’s personal style ethos is to “wear black, live colour”, forever finding balance between bold choices and strong contrasts.
