About the speaker

Claire Maloney is the Founder and Director of The Bravery; a PR and Social Media agency that believes the power of storytelling can make the world a better place - the whole reason for its existence is to tell stories that create change for good.

Working in PR, communications and social media fields for over 16 years, Claire dedicates her work (a LARGE chunk of her life) towards a bright future for purpose, the environment, sustainability and social causes. Her work at the agency is brave, independent and best-in-class since 2012.

A fascinating project she recently worked on was for ice cream activists Ben & Jerry's, launching a new delicious non-dairy ice cream flavour - Unfudge our Future - to encourage Australian's to petition the Federal Government to stop funding fossil fuel projects. The campaign reached 45million eyeballs seeing the message of how they can tackle climate action, and resulted in 10k letters being sent to key federal politicians urging them to create a better future for Australia.

She has a broad skill set across strategy, creativity, implementation and multichannel communications integration capabilities - plus is a media expert in current affairs and issues-rich environments, with specialist crisis management skills.

Consumer, corporate, NFP - she's worked it - and her passion for feminism, local systems, the eradication of design obsolescence and good governance (yep, being on boards) is what keeps the fires of change burning brightly.
