About the speaker
Carrie Boucher is a social practice artist who views creative expression as a fundamental human right. She believes that all forms of creative expression are important and that each member of a community plays a role in shaping its unique cultural identity. She is the founder of NOMADstudio—Neighborhood-Oriented Mobile Art + Design studio—an organization of artists who use art as a tool to build relationships and strengthen community resilience & wellbeing in places like juvenile detention centers, children’s group homes, and neighborhoods impacted by poverty.
