Caron Bowman shows how punk principles and public art collide to reclaim space, elevate unheard voices, and make culture impossible to ignore.

Caron Bowman, Partner and Director of Curation for Street Art Revolution, delivers a compelling talk on how public art can act as a form of cultural rebellion. Rooted in the spirit of punk—defined not by chaos, but by principled nonconformity—Bowman’s murals challenge elitism in the art world and bring visibility to communities long overlooked. She shares the origin of her work in Palm Beach County, her mission to democratize public art, and how murals like “Icons of the Civil Rights Movement” and “Revolution of the Groove” have transformed walls into platforms for dialogue, healing, and pride. Through vivid storytelling and deep community engagement, Bowman reminds us that real art isn’t for pigeons—it’s for people.
