After creating lists of their unique traits as they relate to Symmetry, Spencer and Camille chose to speak on Expectation and Impermanence and how those topics connect to the global theme.
About the speaker
Spencer is the founder of IDSKETCHING.COM and Sketch-A-Day.com, and has been engaged in providing free, high quality online design sketching tutorials and on-site sketch workshops since 2008. He has created an extensive online network and following within the Industrial Design community and continues to connect with students and design professionals via his online websites.
His design experience includes working at General Motors in Warren, Michigan, San Francisco based design firm Astro Studios, heading up his own design consultancy, Studio Tminus where he worked with several clients primarily in the consumer electronics and apparel industries. Spencer has worked with brands such as Microsoft, Intel, Hewlett Packard, BodyGlove, Adidas, Verifone, Kyocera Altec Lansing, Hasbro, Dell, Tupperware and Motorola.
Most recently, Spencer has been involved in managing industrial design, user experience and strategic design for Vivint Smarthome in Lehi, Utah.
About Camille: In her 20+ years in the industry as Designer, Art Director and Creative Director, Camille Nugent has overseen integrated campaigns across print, digital, and emerging channels, working primarily with education-based, SaaS, and tech corporations and start-ups. Conceptual innovation, team collaboration, empathy, usability, and key client relationships are all really important to her success in creative design. She has worked with notable clients including Microsoft, Adobe, and Autodesk.
She combines her education and experiences in the fine arts and graphic design with an overarching philosophy: Create beautiful things. Be kind while you do that.
Camille is currently a Senior Designer at Dinng, an agency in Salt Lake City, Utah.
