Britt Howard is a pattern maker. She went from surviving in her career making baby clothes to creating the highly successful Portland Garment Factory.

When a fire burned down her business, Britt got to work. With a solid business strategy, she grew a community of designers into her own garment district and arts organization, within her very own factory. Learn from a home grown entrepreneur, artist, pattern maker, with this inspiring talk.

About the speaker

Britt Howard (she/her) is a visionary artist and entrepreneur who combines creative problem solving and a down-to-earth approach to make the work Portland Garment Factory (PGF) is known for. PGF is an award-winning, full-service factory that bridges design and production to create experiential marketing installations, soft sculpture, high-end custom garments and more.

Britt Howard brings an artist’s perspective and deep knowledge of manufacturing to an industry better known for production than creative problem solving and sustainable
practices. Under her guidance, PGF is a zero waste and proudly B Corp certified.
