BLK ASS FLEA MKT [BAFM] is a curated event studio and marketplace that empowers BLK creatives in Baltimore and beyond! We are a movement creating our BLK UTOPIA that continues to center and illuminate BLK JOY as an act of resistance, reclamation + restoration.
We've been "KEEPIN' THE COIN IN THE COMMUNITY!" since 2021! BAFM was created for BLK artists, creatives + business owners to prioritize, encourage + sustain BLK buying power + BLK business equity through it’s MKTplaces + events.

Oversold? What does this mean? We typically don’t have a max capacity at our events, but there is a hard cap (as per the US Coast Guard) for the ship in order for us to safely set sail. To ensure that we get as many morning people on the Urban Pirates ship as possible, we “oversold” the event based on attendance/attrition from our 2023 events. It means that even though we’re trying to encourage folx to release their ticket if they can’t come, sometimes the morning comes and you can’t make it (life happens!). This is what the “oversold” is accounting for. On the other hand, if everyone who registered DOES show up, we may not be able to get everyone on board. It’s a reality that we must face together with flexibility and grace.
