What are FieldTrips?
FieldTrips are meetups to interact, learn and collaborate in an effort to level-up your creative life.
We’re limiting these events to only 25 people, they’re like an intimate dinner party. Your absence will be felt so please make sure that you can definitely attend if you sign up. Also, we’re in the prototyping phase, so come with an open mind and be prepared for anything.
Thanks for participating! We’re lucky to have you.
Behind the Scenes in STEM Education for Parents
April 10, 10:00am - 12:00pm EDT. Hosted at Robofun (NYC)
About this FieldTrip
A hands-on workshop demonstrating the latest in STEM to supplement your children’s education utilizing Lego robotics and coding. This is a workshop for parents to come to alone or with children to learn about new uses for technology in the classroom, and how a constructivist orientation to education leads to learning through play. While this FieldTrip will be educational it will also be hands-on, involving fun building and coding projects with no experience required.
Laura Hart, Robofun’s founder, is a graduate of the Harvard School of Education, and MIT Media Collaborator. She has run Robofun for 21 years and provided STEM education programs for thousands of students in hundreds of public and private schools around NYC.
Attendees are welcome to bring their children.
