About this FieldTrip
Beastanetics is a one-hour fitness class that relies exclusively on the most effective exercise machine ever invented, the human body. It’s appropriate for individuals of all fitness levels as every movement can be regressed or progressed according to the needs of the specific exerciser.
Attendees will learn a variety of movements designed to improve their cardiovascular conditioning, agility, coordination, and balance as well as increase upper body, lower body, and core strength. They will also learn how to properly warm-up for and cool down from a high-intensity interval training class. At the conclusion of the class, we’ll be happy to take questions about any aspect of fitness with an eye toward helping participants create their own training programs.
About your Host
I’ve been a certified personal trainer since 1998 and am the creator of Beastanetics (2009) and Punk Rope (2004).
Punk Rope is one of the leading jump rope-based group fitness programs in the world with more than 1200 certified instructors. Prior to launching Punk Rope I designed and led a number of long-distance running programs until a series of knee injuries forced me to reevaluate my fitness, sport, and recreational endeavors. I’m interested in hosting this FieldTrip because I’m passionate about empowering others to take ownership of their own health and fitness. I believe that once folks realize they don’t need a gym membership, fancy equipment, or gobs of free time to get fit, a powerful transformation can take place which will allow them to embark on a new and self-directed path toward health and fitness.
