A mother’s experience. A dating story. Someone special from your past. We asked our speakers to tell us about a “place you cannot return to,” and we heard 3 beautiful and varied stories.
About the speaker
For Audience Takes the Stage 2019, we partnered with Continuance, a community arts collective that takes memories and turns them into art. They are building an archive of audio responses to the prompt, “tell me about a place you cannot return to.” Their project acts as a healing mechanism, where the stories, places, and memories that might’ve been lost have the opportunity to be seen––perhaps again, but differently and with new eyes.
