Ashley Matthäus

Ashley Matthäus is a US-American who moved to Germany in 2010. Though she now calls Freiburg home, the intricacies of intercultural differences continue to delight, agitate, and amuse her. Ashley has a background in Social and Cultural Studies through Film as well as Visual Anthropology and currently works at the Carl-Schurz-Haus as head of the language program for adults and companies as well as leader of the German-American Business Community. Ever looking for connections, Ashley truly enjoys meeting new people and discovering cross-demographic commonalities that unite us. She also likes wine and cookies.
