Loved your talk on Creative Mornings Ash! I actually just watched the video and wasn't there IRL but nevertheless. So many good takeaways, especially that we can be rich, multifaceted and complex and that 'becoming who we are is a ‘creative act'. Also further to the point about the 'tortured artist' concept, well this happens in the modern day 100% in reference to the toxic comparison of art and creativity on social media and not showing up and creating due to the perfectionism that exists, which often can lead to anxiety, performance and creation paralysis and mental health issues overall. Creativity coaching can really be an avenue that is explored here and like you said not give meaning to these stories and instead delve into your own creativity for fulfilment rather than praise or attainment.
