About the speaker

Arvind Narrain is a Lawyer and Writer on human right issues. He is the author of India’s Undeclared Emergency: Constitutionalism and the Politics of Resistance and the co-editor of Law Like Love: Queer perspectives on law. He was also a part of the team of lawyers challenging Section 377 of the IPC right from the High Court in 2009 to the Supreme Court in 2018.

Arvind's focus for the CreativeMornings talk will be on 'trust building as a society' through various lenses. As a board member of RBANM's Educational Charities, he will talk about its 150-year legacy as a philanthropic initiative. He will also share about his work and research in relation to Ambedkarite jurisprudence, Totalitarianism and Alternative Law Forum (ALF) of which he is a founder member.
