Arnold Westphal on Authentic Ritual

"Ritual" with respect to self-expression and authenticity, is this month's theme for CreativeMornings Monterey Peninsula. Growing up here my entire life in what seemed a regular life, I thought I was happy but never really knew who I was. I was a fish who did not know he was in water.
At midlife, I experienced what I call my “awakening,” when I discovered the prison without walls my life had become. As I studied how my childhood development impacted my adult choices, I found my calling to help others do the same. I have been drawn to realign my life toward helping men and women achieve the emotional balance, spiritual healing, and unconditional self-love that I enjoy. Embracing this newfound mission, I have transformed my life and career, becoming a workshop leader, speaker, and coach.
I am now the Executive Director and a Lead Facilitator at Breakthrough for Men, a nonprofit focused on liberating men from unworkable behavioral patterns. I guide men toward authenticity, emotional intelligence, and healthier relationships with their families and themselves. My workshops, talks, and coaching sessions inspire both men and women to embrace their truest selves.
