We’re also super honored to have well-known Armando Braswell as our speaker on 24th November, when he welcomes us at the Braswell Arts Center. Armando is a professional dancer, teacher, and entrepreneur. He describes rhythm as the heartbeat of life and a cornerstone of artistic expression. Armando will be sharing his personal story with us, and he invites us to experience the transformative energy of rhythm through an interactive movement class.

Get ready to explore with us how rhythm can guide our movements, enrich our creative endeavors, and become the pulse that animates our collective experience.

Our Speaker
Armando is a professional dancer and dance teacher originally from New York City. He’s well-known as a soloist with Ballet Theater Basel. He teaches amateurs and professionals worldwide, choreographs for stages, and is currently the director of the Dance Basel festival. In 2017, he founded together with his wife Lisa the “Braswell Arts Center”, a space for innovative and collaborated art forms dedicated to supporting emerging and established artists. Our Location
The new space of Braswell Arts Center is located in the heart of Basel, a few steps away from Bankverein and Aeschenplatz, spread out over two floors and 550 square meters. It offers 2 fully equipped dance studios, a fitness room, a chill-out area, café, and pop-up store. The newly designed space is transformable to accommodate high-quality dance classes, live performances, exhibitions, workshops, pop-ups, and other inspiring events. Open and welcoming it offers artistic experiences for all ages, levels, and body types as well as fresh initiatives for underprivileged children and emerging artists. The Braswell Arts Center strives to encourage collaboration, creation, networking and entrepreneurship within the local and international arts community.
